The state where this Kono Dolomite Jade is found is in Marquette County, Michigan and this is where the Jasper inherited it's name from, the Kono Hills, is known as being south of Marquette County, Michigan .
I am now studying about Kono Dolomite Jasper and it seems that this type of jasper is used for more than one category.

Kona Dolomite is a pale-colored mineral, it is a white, reddish, or greenish mineral consisting of calcium magnesium carbonate. This Jasper comes from sedimentary rocks.
This Kona Dolomite is known as being an very old rock in which a unit of rocks that are consisting of a succession of strata or an igneous intrusion.
Stro·mat·o·lite is a fossil made from cyan o bacteria and it is a very old fossil that has formed in sedimentary rocks by sea cyan o bacteria and consisting of a rounded or columnar calcium containing masses of many layers.
