Throughout the centuries artists have been trying to express their feelings by creating canvas paintings. Important hunting events were already depicted by cavemen making use of colour paints made from flowers, fruits and blood.
Expressing our inner thoughts, emotions and ideas to other people via the art of drawing or painting always seemed to be an innate urge. The well-known quote "A painting is worth thousand words" is certainly true.
All emotions individuals feel can be expressed by design and colours. Whether it is an old farmhouse set in a rural landscape or a lady in a park waiting for her lover, the painted object will evoke certain emotions and memories in the observer's mind.
There're several basics the beginning canvas painter need to know. Although you might have been drawing and sketching for years, picking up a brush for the first time will seem unfamiliar. This won't be a problem!
Within a short period of time you'll become familiar with all types of brushes and the strokes that can be created using them. Soon the brush will feel as comfortable as the charcoal pencil you always used to have in your hand.
